JANUS ENTERTAINMENT

Janus Entertainment is a multifaceted production and consultancy company specialising in the supply of quality live theatre, production values and theatre consultancy.
Launched in 1984 the company has operated nationally and internationally providing services of producer, director, designer, dramaturg, writer and consultancy (in a range of areas including academic curriculum and course development - both degree and VET in the tertiary sector - as well as repertoire and venue selection).
Recent examples of the range of this work include: Event design for the 2004 City of Sydney New Year’s Eve celebrations on Sydney Harbour; Commonwealth Games closing ceremony; 8 screen minutes of a Bollywood film (conceived, wrote, directed and produced both in Sydney and Mumbai); directed/designed sell out seasons of musicals Annie Get Your Gun and Irene (with Debbie Reynolds); directed/designed and produced MSWA productions of Les Miserables, The Sound of Music and the inaugural MS pantomime Puss in Boots.
Esson Press is the publishing arm of Janus Entertainment, specialising in heritage Australian drama, contemporary Australian translations of the classics, and new work.
